Indoor dohyo(nn used in sumo)

(New design for practical use, authorized by the Japan Sumo Federation) Indoor rings that are easy to carry, assemble, and disassemble and can be stored in a small space were developed so that sumo matches can be held in all kinds of weather. These indoor rings were authorized by the Japan Sumo Federation and are distributed to the prefectural sumo federations nationwide as a material for promoting sumo. They are also used by municipal boards of education and public sports centers and for regional prelilninaries for kids sumo tournaments sponsored by junior chambers, as well as at elementary, junior, and senior high schools and universities nationwide.

Simplified Tawara(New Simplified Tawara)

(4.5 meter-wide ring) Utility model No. 58362
This simplfied tawara includes 20 bales for the inner circle, four toku-tawara, and tying ropes to easily set up a ring of 4.5 meters in width.

Characteristics

1.Amateure can set up a ring easily.
2.Bales last for a several years in the rain without going rotten (bales are made of Uniticaesterand their life is 20 times as long as that of straw).
3.They are dyed in a beautiful straw color.

How to make a ring

1.Fill a large amount of sand into a bale and tie it with a rope. Push a cloth end outside the knot in the bale and tie the rope completely. Drop the bale with the tied end down several times to smooth the sand inside.
2.Tie twice at the center of the rope and securely tie three locations to the right and left respectively (seven locations in total).
3.Dig a circle 4.55 meters in diameter, 7 centimeters in depth, and 10 centimeters in width.
4.As shown in the illustration, put the bales flatly so that upper one-third of the bale appears above the ground and fill any gaps with dirt.
